A rare tile panel by the Wheeling Tile Company (1913-1960) of West Virginia. Dating to the 1920-30's the colors of green and black are period Art Deco. The image of a sailboat on calm waters with gulls flying overhead is tubelined, meaning the outline is meticulously applied by hand with a syringe, then glazes are poured between the raided lines.The mural measures 12 3/4" tall and 17" wide. Each 4 1/4" tile is marked on the back "Wheeling Cushion". This vintage tile panel was uninstalled, cleaned, and is in excellent condition.

These tiles can be put back into use in a wall, or mounted onto a board and framed in wood or iron for a great accent.
